Staccato rhythms bristle during standouts like Let s Hear It for Dartanian a track that exemplifies Fairweather s progressive approach to songwriting and arrangements. This forward-thinking style eclipses many emo acts with their condensed approach to riffing. Listeners may detect similarities to diverse punk/hardcore artists like At the Drive-In and Quicksand but there s nothing on If They Move...Kill Them that smacks of plagiarism.
