These shapes are cut on either 1-8 or 1-4 High Density Fiberboard (HDF). This is similar to MDF except our wood is double-refined highly pressed wood AND is MOISTURE-RESISTANT! Because the way our wood is processed it gives the material a smooth finish which is perfect for painting. Little sanding is required for preparation. Once painted we recommend you give your piece a spray of clear or some type of sealant. This is only recommended if you are displaying outdoors.
