Serving God was a life choice made by William Boyd Guthrie. He served as a minister in the Christian Church for many years then switched to the Presbyterian religion. The Wolsey and Bonilla Presbyterian churches in South Dakota had been without a full-time minister for over a year. In June of 1996 church officials searched for a minister willing to serve at their two small churches. After reviewing several rsums from various candidates they requested William Guthrie s employment. He accepted their request and moved his family moved to Wolsey. The churches seemed happy with Dr. Bill as he preferred to be called.
